Key verses:

I have lost none, except the son of perdition that the Scripture might be
fulfilled. -- John 17:12

Yea, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread,
hath lifted up his heel against me. -- Psalm 41:9

I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture might be fulfilled: He that
eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. -- John 13:18

I rejoice not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance:
for you were made sorry after a godly manner . . . For godly sorrow works
repentance to salvation . . . but the sorrow of the world works death.
-- 2 Corinthians 7:9-10
