- Passage: John 3:1-18
Text: John 3:1-9 and 14-18
Key verse: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son”
1. Nicodemus was a genuine seeker filled with questions.
Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. --John 12:42-43
2. There is good reason to believe that Nicodemus became a committed believer.
And there came also Nicodemus, which at first came to Jesus by night,
and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pound weight.
--John 19:39
