Youth Ministry
What is youth ministry at Webster Bible?
Beyond just bringing together teens to have a good time, youth ministry at Webster Bible exists
to help teens mature in their faith, teach them how to reach others, and make their relationship
with Christ become an indispensable part of their lives. We do this through our Sunday night
youth gatherings at the church's Youth House (the old parsonage), on Sunday mornings with
Sunday school, on Tuesday nights with Life Hurts God Heals, and with our weekly middle
school outreach program, Flood, which meets in the gym each Wednesday night.
Scroll down for more information on what we're going through in the weeks to come! We hope
to see you!

Sunday Night Youth Ministry
- Meets at the youth house from 5:45 pm to 7:15 pm.
- Teaching, worship, and small groups each Sunday night!
For High School:

Climate change...climate crisis...dying polar bears...reduce, reuse, recycle...what's a Christian supposed to do?! We hear all about our environment and how we have to change the way we live in order to preserve our future. We also hear things are not exactly as dire as we're told. What we really need to hear is a biblical perspective. What does the Bible say about creation and how we need to live? Come Sunday nights to find out!
For Middle School:
Basics of Faith
Getting back to the basics is always a good thing. Perhaps we never learned them, or maybe we've forgotten some of what we thought we knew! Here's an opportunity to get back to building a solid foundation for the basic beliefs in God. Make sure you're there to be challenged and share your thoughts with others as we tackle these topics as a group!
Life Hurts God Heals
What is Life Hurts God Heals?
Life Hurts God Heals (LHGH) is specifically for students who have experienced pain or addiction including: drinking, cutting, pornography, eating disorders, troubled family dynamics, etc.
If you are familiar with 12-step programs (i.e., Alcohol Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, etc) then you understand the basic structure for Life Hurts God Heals. However, Life Hurts God Heals is an 8-step group targeted specifically for students in middle school through high school, and is based on the beatitudes from the Bible. This curriculum provides lifelong tools for students dealing with unresolved hurt and pain. It was written by John Baker, Doug Fields and Megan Hutchinson as a result of seeing the unmet pain of students in their youth ministry at Saddleback Church.
Life Hurts God Heals begins its first 13 week session on Tuesday, October 13th, 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., at the Webster Bible Church Youth House. Please note: the remaining 12 sessions are on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. All teens 6th-12th grade are welcome to come at any point during the session. Teens may just show up. See the website calendar for the scheduled dates. For more information please contact Mike Belles at 585-899-0248. Our 2nd session is scheduled to begin Tuesday, January 10, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The 8-steps covered in Life Hurts God Heals that could CHANGE YOUR LIFE:
Step 1: Get help. I admit that I am powerless and that I need help. Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor (Matthew 5:3).
Step 2: Open your heart. I now know that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He is the only One who has the power to heal my pain. Happy are those who mourn. God will comfort them (Matthew 5:4).
Step 3: Depend on Christ. I realize I need to turn my life over to Christ. I need to depend on Him in all areas of my life, including all that I say, think, and do. Happy are the humble (Matthew 5:5).
Step 4: Hear and speak. I agree to evaluate my life and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone whom I trust. Happy are the pure in heart (Matthew 5:8).
Step 5: Embrace God's way. I will stop doing things my way and put my life on the path that leads toward God's way. Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires (Matthew 5:6).
Step 6: Ask for forgiveness. I will offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me, and I will ask for forgiveness for any wrong I've done to others. Happy are the merciful. Happy are the peacemakers (Matthew 5:7, 9).
Step 7: Live for God. I will set aside some time for God each day to examine my life, read my Bible, and pray so that I have the power to live God's way. Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor (Matthew 5:3).
Step 8: Share with others. I will take the message that God heals to others in need and share it by my words and actions. Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires (Matthew 5:10).
Flood:
- Meets at the Webster Bible gym each Wednesday night, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Value Pac - These days, everyone is looking for a value. What about life values? Which ones do we have? Are there any we need to work on? At flood, we'll be looking at some life values over the next several weeks. Join us to see what values you have and some you might want to shop for!
Sunday School
Teenager’s Sunday School Class
Jesus said that the Old Testament is about Him (Luke 24). We’re looking at the Old Testament starting with Creation and working through to the Exile trying to unpack what Jesus meant when He said that He came to “Fulfill the Law and the Prophets.” Along the way, we’re exploring topics of interest to Teens using examples (both good and bad) from the Old Testament. Some of our excursions address the questions...
- Can I have a relationship with God that’s meaningful?
- Does my life really matter?
- How do I deal with temptation and the pressure to give in?
- How do I cope with failure?
- Am I really saved?
- What is the Bible really about?
- Whom should I marry?
- Why is my life so hard and why are my relationships so messed up?
- “Created in God’s Image” - What’s that about?
- and many others...
- We’re loosely following the book - “God’s Big Picture” by Vaughn Roberts. Come and join us Sunday mornings at 8:45.
