John and Celia began their service with Pioneers in 1981 among the 550 Kubo tribal people of Papua New Guinea. Since 1988, they have served in various leadership roles including U.S. Director, Global Prayer Coordinator, Director of Global Partnerships, and International Director. Today, John serves as senior vice president for global ministries, a role that helps bridge Pioneers U.S. office to the larger, global movement of Pioneers, which is currently comprised of over 2,500 members serving on 229 teams in 146 unreached people groups in 95 countries.
