Dave & Esther served in Irian Jaya for over 40 years. Their original work was that of pioneer missionaries, analyzing and learning the language, expressing Christ to those stone-age peoples, then teaching and translating. The result of their ministry was a mass rejection of the past life of spirit worship and warring of 20,000 among the Dani tribe. The translation of the OT into the Dani language has been completed and Dave & Esther are semi-retired. They spent 4-1/2 months traveling in the spring of 2006 aiding in the release of their colleague in Java, and Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) formatting the revised Dani NT, and ministering to Dani pastors.
