Bill & Lori were married at Webster Bible Church in 1985 following graduation from Pensacola Christian College. Lori publicly committed her life to serve as a missionary at a Webster Bible Church missionary conference. She is the daughter of Wade & Joyce Sheldon. The Smith's primary emphasis is church planting along with theological education to provide leadership for national churches and their church plants. They are also involved in medical evangelism, field leadership among the missionary personnel, youth ministries, and occasional seminars/encouragements/speaking in national (indigenous) churches. Their clinic ministry has expanded, and Lori now has a staff of 8 that work with her. The clinic ministry occasionally becomes mobile for the purpose of visiting neighboring villages. They also have national teachers at the Goroka Baptist Bible College.
