Bill & Lori were married at Webster Bible Church in 1985 following graduation from Pensacola Christian College. Lori publicly committed her life to serve as a missionary at a Webster Bible Church missionary conference. She is the daughter of Wade & Joyce Sheldon. The Smith's primary emphasis is church planting along with theological education to provide leadership for national churches and their church plants. They are also involved in medical evangelism, field leadership among the missionary personnel, youth ministries, and occasional seminars/encouragements/speaking in national (indigenous) churches. During the past year, Kisem Bek Baptist Church became organized and independent from missionary support. Their clinic ministry expanded as well as their visitation/relationship with neighboring villages and the children became actively involved in the church planting ministries. They also have national teachers at the Goroka Baptist Bible College. It was great to have Bill & Lori with us for a year. Since their return to the field, they have been very busy. Bill has the new position as Field Coordinator. They are beginning to formulate plans for their new church plant in the Napamagona are.
